Job Opportunity: Factory Manager for Someru Plant, Volar Oü, Estonia
Volar Plastic Oy and its subsidiary, Volar Oü, are looking for an experienced and passionate Factory Manager to lead and grow the operations at our Someru plant in Estonia. This is a unique opportunity to become a key player in a dynamic, expanding company, where you will have the chance to shape the future of our production processes and make a real impact on the success of the plant.
As the Factory Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the plant and ensuring that all activities are coordinated smoothly. Your role will be central to maintaining high production standards, ensuring the quality of products, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives. A significant part of your responsibility will be ensuring that all legal requirements are met, and that health and safety standards are strictly followed to protect both the workforce and the plant’s operations.
One of the core aspects of this role is working closely with the production team. You’ll spend at least 80% of your working time on the factory floor, fostering an environment of collaboration and continuous learning. It’s essential that you lead by example, inspiring and motivating the employees to excel in their roles. You will be responsible for creating and managing effective communication channels within the factory, ensuring that information flows seamlessly between all relevant stakeholders, both inside and outside the organization.
In addition to overseeing the operational aspects, you’ll be involved in resource planning and management, making sure that production targets are met, and that the plant is continuously improving in terms of efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and quality. You will work closely with the management team to develop and implement training programs that will help employees grow in their roles, setting clear goals for their development while providing guidance and support.
To succeed in this role, you’ll need a strong technical background and prior experience in similar management positions, preferably in the manufacturing or production sector. You should have a proven track record of leading teams effectively, with the ability to stay focused and motivated under pressure. Strong communication skills are essential, as you will need to interact with a variety of stakeholders at different levels of the organization.
You will also be comfortable working with different software tools, such as Monitor ERP, Office programs, and Excel, and have the ability to quickly adapt to new technologies. Language skills in Finnish, English, and Estonian are required, while knowledge of Russian is a bonus. Ideally, you will have experience in the plastics industry and be familiar with the Estonian work culture.
In return for your expertise and leadership, we offer a competitive salary, a full benefits package, and the opportunity to join a growing company with a clear vision for the future. You’ll be supported by a skilled management team and given the autonomy to shape the plant’s direction, with plenty of opportunities to implement your own ideas and innovations.
If you’re excited about the opportunity to make a real impact and lead a team towards success, we’d love to hear from you. Apply today and become a part of Volar Oü as we continue to grow and evolve.
